John 1:1-18: Jesus Is the Word

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:
Jeremiah 1-2, Ecclesiastes 1, John 1:1-18, James 1:1-11
As we go through John’s Gospel together over the next few weeks, I will refer you to fuller comments in my commentary on John’s Gospel, as well as the Bible study guide.
Take, then, and read a full analysis of this section of John’s Prologue, and instead this morning simply reflect on the following bullet points:
- Do we center our lives on Jesus as God incarnate?
- Do we view all of creation as made by Jesus?
- Do we rejoice in the privilege of being “children of God”?
- Do we treasure the Bible as where the eyewitnesses of God’s glory have, by God’s Spirit, written us a witness to that glory?
