Culture can influence us positively, but critically examining our culture is a necessary Christian responsibility— otherwise we’ll just end up imitating it. Jesus prayed that we would be in the world but not of it. This requires our minds to be shaped by the truth of the Bible and then to bring that lens to our culture.
